These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Best Reader View browser extension (the "Extension"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using Best Reader View, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please uninstall and discontinue use of the Extension immediately.

Description of Service

Best Reader View is a browser extension that extracts and reformats the main article content from web pages into a clean, readable view. The Extension offers features including but not limited to:

• Article extraction and clean rendering
• Customizable fonts, sizes, and color themes
• Automatic reader view activation
• Note-taking and text highlighting
• Focus Mode for viewing content in its original page layout
• Print and PDF export via Chrome's native print command
• Optional text sharing to Twitter and Facebook

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. By using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. All processing is performed locally in your browser, and no browsing history or personal data is transmitted to our servers.

Intellectual Property

Best Reader View is based on Mozilla Firefox's open-source Readability module, with significant modifications for enhanced pre- and post-processing. The Extension's name, logo, and user interface design are our intellectual property. The underlying Readability module remains subject to its original open-source license.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Extension in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not:

• Use the Extension for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Modify, adapt, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Extension, except as expressly permitted by applicable open-source licenses
• Distribute, sublicense, or sell the Extension without prior written permission
• Use the Extension to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL BEST READER VIEW, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE EXTENSION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Extension after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify the Extension at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification or discontinuation.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
